Moisture Protection

Moisture protection can be an important part of building your pole building. The warm, humid air inside your building can cause condensation to form on cooler, drier surfaces. This condensation can lead to  damage if it is not stopped or prevented. Buildings with minimal insulation hold warm moist air which can then increases the chances for potential mold and other damages.

Moisture Block

Moisture blocks are used to resist vapor and condensation. They are installed in the roof of a pole building. Moisture blocks can protect from moisture damaged caused by rain, snow and ice. They are designed to block moisture damage and further insulate your building.

Single Bubble Foil White

Single bubble, also known as reflective radiant barrier, is an effective condensation control barrier. This can reduce cooling costs by preventing heat transfer. Single bubble is used less for insulating and more for moisture prevention. The top side is foil while the bottom side is white.

House Wrap

House wrap is a weatherization membrane that provides a protective layer under a buildings siding. The house wrap is wrapped around your building and the doors and windows are cut out. Wrapping a pole building in house wrap can help combat water, moisture and air infiltration.

OSB with Felt

To help prevent condensation, OSB can be installed on the roof with a layer of felt between the OSB and the metal roofing panels. The OSB gives the roof structure more strength while the weather resistant felt barrier keeps air and moisture out so there is no condensation.
